Lifelong learning for the win

I believe that senior marketing leadership requires more than marketing expertise alone — it requires financial literacy, structured leadership skills, and a genuine command of the technology stack that powers modern demand generation. Every certification below was a deliberate investment, not a checkbox.

Jan – Mar 2026
Financial Accounting
Harvard Business School Online

Completed from personal initiative to deepen financial literacy at CMO level — reading balance sheets, evaluating investments, and understanding how marketing decisions flow through to company financials. Not required for the role. Pursued because CMOs who understand the P&L make better budget decisions.

2026 · In Progress
Ausbilderschein (AEVO)
Institut für Fort- & Weiterbildung

Currently completing my vocational trainer qualification under German law (BBiG, HwO, JArbSchG), enabling me to formally supervise apprentices. Pursuing this because developing junior talent is a responsibility I take seriously — not just a legal requirement for some roles.

Nov 2025
Leadership Training
SECO Inhouse Training

Structured leadership development covering team dynamics, cross-cultural management and decision-making frameworks — directly applied to leading a 20-person international marketing organisation across four countries.

May 2023
Marketing Automation & Lead Management
Haufe Akademie

Structured training in lead scoring models, nurturing workflows and automation logic — the theoretical foundation that later became SECO’s first fully implemented demand generation system.

Mar 2023
Marketing Cloud Account Engagement
comselect
Hands-on Pardot and CRM integration training — directly enabling the Salesforce-integrated lead scoring and nurturing infrastructure I later built at SECO.
Jul 2022
Communication Intern & Extern
Haufe Akademie
Structured training in internal and external corporate communication — stakeholder messaging, crisis communication principles, and consistent brand voice across audiences.
Oct 2021
Google Analytics
eMBIS Akademie
Foundational certification in web analytics, attribution modelling and reporting — the analytical backbone behind every campaign performance decision I’ve made since.
Volunteering

Connection, collaboration and support

Marketing skills don’t only belong in the corporate world. I actively look for ways to apply what I know — brand strategy, digital marketing, community building — to causes I genuinely care about, particularly around social inclusion and professional community in Hamburg.

Marketing Managerin (Voluntary) — Mutly
Since May 2026

Pro-bono marketing leadership for Mutly, a Hamburg-based nonprofit dedicated to social inclusion for older people. I lead the development of a full Brand Book 2026, establishing consistent corporate identity guidelines across all touchpoints. My responsibilities include SEO strategy and website optimisation, management of Google Ad Grants for nonprofit visibility, press release writing and distribution, and graphic design for flyers, brochures and roll-up materials using Canva. This is not a supervisory role — it’s hands-on marketing execution for a cause I believe in.

Active Member — Marketing Club Hamburg
Since March 2026

Active participation in one of Germany’s most established marketing professional networks — engaging in regular continuing education sessions, senior-level networking, and knowledge exchange with peers across the Hamburg marketing community. This ongoing engagement keeps me connected to emerging trends and best practices beyond my day-to-day role.

Social Media Manager (Voluntary) — Das Milieu
Mar 2015 – Oct 2016

Sole manager of a student magazine’s Facebook channel — planning, creating and publishing content to engage the student community. Coordinated social media projects, ensured editorial quality through my work as lector, and supported overall project management for the magazine’s digital presence. This was where my first real social media strategy skills were built, years before it became my professional specialty.

Let’s connect.

Continuous learning and genuine community engagement — if that resonates with how you think about leadership, I’d love to talk.
